A winter climb of Mount Toubkal in the Atlas mountains in Marokko (Morocco), the highest mountain in North Africa, 4,167 metres (13,671 feet).

Planned Itinerary (may be altered)
Day 1: 22-3-07Flying from Aarhus airport to London, 22.45 - 23.25.
Day 2: 23-3-07
After a long night in the airport in London, we fly to Marrakesh, Mocokko, 06.00 - 09.35. Meet with Anders by the Qessabin Mosque at 12. Find a cheap place to stay in the center of Marrakesh and the rest of the day is spend exploring the sight and sounds of the city.
Day 3: 24-3-07
This day we explore Marrakesh, buy food/equipment for the coming tekking/climb and we arrange transportation going to Imlil, the starting point for the next 7-8 days days trekking and climbing expediton. In the afternoon/evening we take the to Imlil, 60 km south of Marrakesh. When we arrive to Imlil we find some cheap place to camp.
The following is just an suggested trekking rute and it may be altered due to weather conditions, etc.
Day 4: 25-3-07
Trekking day 1: Imlil to Tachedirt. 3-5 hours / 9,5km / 560m ascent.
Day 5: 26-3-07
Trekking day 2: Tachedirt to Azib Likemt. 4-5 hours / 9km / 1200m ascent / 900m descent.
Day 6: 27-3-07
Trekking day 3: Azib Likemt to Amsouzert. 7-10 hours / 15,2km / 470m ascent / 1380m descent.
Day 7: 28-3-07
Trekking day 4: Amsouzert to Azib Imi n'Qiassif. 5-6 hours / 10,5km / 1100m ascent.
Day 8: 29-3-07
Trekking day 5: Azib Imi n'Qiassif to Toubcal Refuge. 3-4 hours / 4km / 759m ascent / 393m descent. Site trip: Mount Quanoukrim ascent, 4088m.
Day 9: 30-3-07
Trekking day 6: Mount Toubcal ascent. 6 hours / 12km / 960m ascent and descent.
Day 10: 31-3-07
Trekking day 7: Bud back to Marrakesh.
Day 11: 1-4-07
4x4 from Marrakesh to Quarzazate. Exploration.
Day 12: 2-4-07
4x4 from Quarzazate to Dades Vally. Exploration.
Day 13: 3-4-07
Merzouga and Erg Chebbi Sahara desert. Desert trek and exploration.
Day 14: 4-4-07
Erg Chebbi Sahara desert. Desert trek and exploration.
Day 15: 5-4-07
Erfoud to Marrakesh (12 h. med bus).
